BODY N BALANCE was est. in 2006 & originally designed for women and those who don’t feel comfortable in a traditional gym. It’s more of a cardio fitness center geared toward weight loss, endurance and cardio strength. Classes include: various aerobics, circuits , kickboxing, toning and strength, plyometric and 1 on 1 personal training. We take an unconventional approach to otherwise traditional classes…and do not offer the latest “fitness craze” type classes (i.e Zumba, hip hop, pole dancing.) These classes are fun, but not really going to change your body. "I (Lisa-owner) think of my members as athletes, and train them accordingly... with a military twist. My goal is to help others understand how health and fitness go hand in hand, as well as trying to get women to break out of the mind set that training hard will make them look unfeminine. I believe the only difference between men & women (training) is, in some cases, the amount of weight used. This approach and attitude is what has helped turn my studio into a coed facility that works weekly with the local police, fire & U.S.M.C offices.…men and women alike have reaped the rewards of training at BODY N BALANCE. I am happy to say, we no longer are thought of as a "girls gym".
